It's also very easy to program via front panel sliders, knobs and buttons.Įach Jupiter 6 voice consists of two voltage controlled oscillators, a multi mode filter, two ADSR envelopes, and LFO. The Roland Jupiter's all have an amazing sound due in part to classic analog Roland technology in their filters, modulation capabilities and 12 analog oscillators at 2 per voice and the Jupiter 6 is no different. However the Jupiter 6 has some major improvements such as the added MIDI control and stable oscillators that did not go out of tune so easily as did many other analog synths produced during the time. The Jupiter 6 is a scaled down version of the Jupiter 8 in terms of programming features and polyphony. Another monster sized analog beast from Roland that, like it's big brother Jupiter 8 weights a whopping 35 pounds. ![]() ![]() Released in 1983, the same year that the MIDI protocol was invented, the Roland Jupiter 6 was one of the first synthesizers to have MIDI built in and was Roland's first MIDI synthesizer. ![]()
